Actress Kang Eun Bi miscarried at 21 weeks of pregnancy.
On the 15th, Kang Eun Bi announced the miscarriage on her YouTube channel through a video titled, “A brief yet long five months, 21 weeks, farewell to Sansam. I love you, baby.”
Kang Eun Bi said, “At 21 weeks, Sansam became a little star and left us,” adding, “On January 3rd, I said goodbye to Sansam. On December 29, 2025, at 20 weeks and 2 days, I had a detailed ultrasound. While hearing that everything was normal, I was told the amniotic fluid had decreased. During the examination, it was suspected the fluid was leaking, so I was transferred to a higher-level hospital,” she explained. “Up until then, all tests were normal, I felt the baby moving well, and I had no fever or pain, so I simply thought the problem was caused by overwork and fatigue.”
She continued, “Two days after admission, I was told the amniotic fluid count was zero. Suspecting premature rupture of membranes, I endured another two days on absolute bed rest with a urinary catheter. I prayed and waited for the amniotic fluid to return, but Sansam’s position was unstable and the fluid never came back. When I was told I needed to consider terminating the pregnancy, I was transferred to a larger, more advanced hospital.”
Kang Eun Bi said, “The baby was lying sideways, tightly attached to the placenta, and was no longer able to develop lungs, barely holding on in a cramped space. In that moment, everything fell apart. I was so ignorant; faced with the reality that because of me, the baby was struggling in pain, I had to make a decision. On the day I reached 21 weeks, I accepted that I had to say goodbye to Sansam,” revealing the miscarriage.
Kang Eun Bi and Byun Joon Pil married after 17 years of dating. In September last year, at the age of 39, she announced her successful natural pregnancy, receiving many congratulations.
