A Korean actor reflected on the personal life controversies that arose outside of acting.
On the morning of July 2nd, an interview was held at a cafe on Samcheong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul with Choi Hyun Wook, the lead actor of the Netflix series Notes from the Last Row.
Notes from the Last Row is a suspense drama that tells the story of Heo Mun Oh (played by Choi Min Sik), a failed writer and Korean literature professor, who discovers the genius of Lee Kang (played by Choi Hyun Wook), a boy sitting in the back row of his classroom, and becomes obsessed with his writing.
The story unfolds around the professor trapped in feelings of inferiority and defeat, the mysterious student who shakes him, and their private literature lessons, delivering intense suspense with unpredictable narratives.
Although Choi Hyun Wook is recognized as a talented actor representing his 20s, he has been embroiled in controversies concerning his private life, such as littering cigarette butts and exposing himself on social media. Last year, during the filming of Notes from the Last Row, he was involved in a pitching controversy and issued a public apology.
