BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon (GD) was recently recognized for saving someone’s life, drawing attention online and prompting the man’s wife to respond with gratitude.
A video capturing the scene from BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary concert recently circulated mainly on online platforms. In the footage, G-Dragon, who was performing on stage, notices a camera director stepping backward while filming him.
The camera director was moving backward to capture G-Dragon’s movements. Observing this, G-Dragon quickly checked behind him, reached out to warn the director of the danger, and then gave way so the director could move to a safer position.
Throughout the filming, G-Dragon stayed behind the director to help prevent any accidents. Fans have been paying attention to G-Dragon’s care for those around him even amid the concert’s intensity.

Following the spread of the video, a netizen claiming to be the camera director’s wife posted a comment that drew further attention.
She explained, “My husband told me that G-Dragon saved him that day. The stage is about 2 meters high, and that scene was one where the edge was approaching as he framed the shot while stepping backward. Without G-Dragon, he almost fell off the stage.”
She added, “I was so shocked to hear the story. My children and I are all BIGBANG fans, and we were once again shown kindness by G-Dragon. Thanks to him, my husband returned safely.”
G-Dragon’s behavior stood out because it occurred naturally and instantly during the ongoing performance. Although he made no special mention and continued performing, the fact that he spotted and handled a potentially dangerous situation quietly has since become a touching story among fans.
BIGBANG held their 20th anniversary world tour, BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR XX : COSMOS IN GOYANG, over three days from August 21st to 23rd at the Goyang Sports Complex main stadium.
Starting with this concert, BIGBANG plans to continue their world tour across North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia.
