- A new legal comedy called Divorce Investigator Hong Mal-geum (roughly translated) is reportedly in the works on ENA, with Lee Bo-young (Mary Kills People) in discussions to play the title role. Currently in the early stages, Lee is up to play a divorced mom of three with a deadbeat ex-husband. And she’s moved to help other children in difficult situations by becoming a family assessor for domestic and child-related court cases. [My Daily, Newsen]
- KBS continues promos with a new group poster for Love on the Menu, capturing a collage of Ha Suk-jin (Siren’s Kiss) and Hani, a.k.a. Ahn Hee-yeon, (Call It Love) alongside Park Yoo-na (Spirit Fingers) and Bae Jung-nam (Spring Fever) among other talents. The family drama begins next week on July 25, with PD Hong Seok-gu (Queen’s House, Beauty and Mr. Romantic) and writer Lee Kyung-hee (Chocolate) leading the weekender team. [Newsen]
- On tvN, Song Kang (Sweet Home 3) and Lee Jun-young (Reborn Rookie) are performing Four Hands, Two Sonatas in the newest poster, setting the coming-of-age stage for music, friendship, and love. Also starring violist Jang Gyuri (When the Phone Rings), the series will be unfolding on weekends, starting on August 29 next month. PD Park Hyun-seok (Song of the Bandits) is at the helm with writing by Shin Yi-won (Don’t Call Me Ma’am). [Sports Donga]
- In the meantime, the mood is haunted on tvN this weekend with Park Eun-bin (The WONDERfools) and Yang Se-jong (Low Life) teaming up in the latest video teaser, while also getting Spooky in Love. The supernatural rom-com and movie-adaptation will be coming to our screens on July 18, with production led by PD Lee Min-woo (Resident Playbook) and writer Choi Jung-mi. [Newsen]
- tvN is gearing up for My Bias, My Boss as well, staffing the office rom-com with new hire Kim Hye-joon (Cashero) in the new character posters. And she’s keeping plenty busy trying to impress the boss Kang Hoon (Hunter with a Scalpel) in addition to her idol bias Cha Woo-min (Spirit Fingers).
