A female K-Pop idol has once again caught the attention of netizens with her dramatically changed appearance, despite having already denied plastic surgery allegations previously.
On the 18th, former AOA member ChoA shared an update from Nanjing, China, on her social media account with the caption “2026.5.17. Nanjing.”
In the released photos, ChoA is spending a luxurious yet relaxed day not in Korea but in Nanjing, China. She showed an elegant visual and a deepened atmosphere in a high-end hotel lounge.
ChoA matched a gray cardigan with a long skirt, exuding an elegant charm. Moving away from her trademark short blonde hair, she sported a calm medium-length style that enhanced her mature and refined appeal. Her noticeably different look compared to the past caught people’s attention.
Regarding rumors about plastic surgery, Choa has drawn a clear line. In a YouTube clip, she said, “I’ve been resting recently, so there have been all kinds of comments. When I stay silent, people start treating those things as facts. I have to put a stop to things that go too far. I met with lawyers over the last one or two years. It’s been a tumultuous year with unintended issues.”
ChoA debuted as an AOA member in 2012 and left the group in June 2017. After her departure, marriage rumors surfaced, but she explained, “Since I left during a good time, people didn’t seem to understand. They kept asking, ‘If it’s not marriage, why would you quit?’ and rumors kept spreading. I’m not married. I hope to get married someday.”
