Fans want Lee Jung Ha back.

According to broadcast officials, the production team of Disney+ original drama Moving 2 has cast Won Kyu Bin as the character Bong Seok. He will replace Lee Jung Ha as Lee is currently serving in the military.

Recently, Won Kyu Bin, along with the Season 2 cast and production team, gathered at KINTEX in Ilsan for a script reading, marking the official start of the new season. Moving, which was released on Disney+ in August 2023, is a 20-episode drama based on Kang Full’s popular webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of children living while hiding their superpowers and parents who carry painful secrets, as they face great dangers together across generations.

In Season 1, Lee Jung Ha played Bong Seok, the son of characters portrayed by Han Hyo Joo and Jo In Sung. Won Kyu Bin has now been selected to take over the role, and is expected to bring a new dynamic to the character.

Even so, response from fans has been less than positive. Many felt that Lee was irreplaceable.

I REFUSE TO BELIEVE I WONT BE SEEING JUNGHA AS BONGSEOK AGAIN 😭💔 https://t.co/0iOBydzuYn

Some wished that they wrote the character off until Lee returned.

I wished they would have wrote him out for s2 and then have him come back for s3 since he would have been out of the military by then 😭 https://t.co/1oiikobFZw

The recast remains controversial as Lee endeared himself to viewers.

I still can’t wrap my head around why they replaced him. He didn’t d!e , He isn’t sick , His only crime was going to serve his country.

Lee Jung Ha was the star the show!!! A lot of shows have run with 3 seasons, and they still use the same cast. Do you think the other cast… https://t.co/dCAtFSr0CM

Fans also loved the chemistry between him and Go Youn Jung.

What the hell? Why? One of the best things in #Moving was Lee Jungha and Go Youn Jung’s chemistry. Disney should’ve just waited till he’s out of the military. https://t.co/8F5sdvKSCl

All eyes are on Won for season two. It seems like he has big shoes to fill.
