Recently, actor Hong Min Gi was the subject of accusations from an ex-girlfriend.

    Hong Min Gi

An influencer known as A, with about 20,000 followers, posted a message on their social media account on the morning of August 19th, accusing a rising actor of dating violence.

His team responded to the allegations, claiming her statements were untrue, and making criminal accusations towards her.

Actor Hong Min Gi Accuses Ex-Girlfriend Of Criminal Actions In Response To Assault Allegations

Following this statement, A shared more posts on her Instagram account, where she exposed more of the actor’s alleged actions.

“I just saw the statement released by Hong Min Gi’s side.

It is not true that I went to his home and stalked him, nor is it true that I demanded that he get back together with me.

I only asked for a basic apology, and I do not think it is right to engage in this kind of secondary victimization by trying to silence and crush someone in this manner.

Hong Min Gi and I had been dating since April. Like any other couple, we had many instances of jealousy, misunderstandings, and arguments. During that time, I was subjected to verbal abuse by Hong Min Gi. However, because I knew that Hong Min Gi had been suffering from a mental illness for some time, I forgave him and kept telling myself that he would get better.

It is also not true that I was continuously in contact with my ex-boyfriend while I was dating Hong Min Gi.

During the first week of July 2026, I realized that something was wrong with my body. Although my menstrual cycle had always been regular, I had not had my period for two weeks. I told Hong Min Gi several times that I was anxious about this, but he would dismiss me, saying things like, “Buy a pregnancy test on Coupang and take it,” and “Do I have to go buy one for you?”

Then, sometime during the early morning hours between July 11 and 12, while I was at Hong Min Gi’s home, I confirmed that the pregnancy test was positive. I contacted Hong Min Gi immediately, and he returned home while he had been on his way out to drink.

As soon as he saw the pregnancy test, he shouted at me, “Why are you covering yourself with a blanket that isn’t even dry?” and pulled the blanket away from me. I was extremely shocked and distressed by his unexpected outburst.

He then made me even more anxious by saying, “You’re going to get an abortion, right? Go get it done tomorrow.”

On July 13, because I was afraid to accompany Hong Min Gi to the obstetrics and gynecology clinic, I went to the hospital alone and underwent an abortion. I have medical records and ultrasound images from that time as evidence.

Afterward, Hong Min Gi repeatedly told me that he wanted to break up with me and avoided taking responsibility, saying, “I can’t take you in.”

He unilaterally cut off contact with me, ignoring my pleas for him to at least take responsibility until my body had recovered.

With no one left to turn to, I fell into despair, and that despair eventually turned into anger, leading me to go to Hong Min Gi’s home on my own.

I couldn’t tell my parents or even my friends what had happened. At that time, the only person I felt I could rely on was Hong Min Gi—the person who had gotten me pregnant and then abandoned me.

Mr. Hong Min Gi, you remained silent when I told you, “Please help me. I’m in pain. I feel like I’m going to die,” and avoided taking responsibility. Is that stalking?

When I could no longer endure it and told your mother how much I was struggling because of the pregnancy, is that stalking?

    Please come to your senses.

I am still a first-year university student, and the new semester is starting in a few weeks. I am also still suffering from complications following the abortion.

To me, the continued, one-sided secondary victimization by Hong Min Gi’s side toward someone in my position looks nothing more than a horrific attempt to bury a young woman.

Hong Min Gi’s agency is trying to portray me as the perpetrator of stalking, while Hong Min Gi himself shows no sign of remorse. I no longer have any reason to reach a settlement.

I will also respond through legal action with my lawyer.”

She also added that she paid for the procedure herself, with Hong allegedly gaslighting her over payment.

The cost of the abortion was also something he manipulated me over, saying things like, ‘I didn’t make much money from the shoot, I don’t have any money.’ In the end, I ended up paying for the entire procedure myself.

A also claimed responsibility for caring for Hong’s dog during that time.

His agency has not responded to these new claims.
