It has been 12 years since Ladies’ Code member the late Kwon RiSe passed away. She died on September 7, 2014, at Ajou University Hospital at the age of 23.
At the time, Ladies’ Code had just finished recording KBS 1TV‘s Open Concert in Daegu and were traveling back to Seoul when they met with an accident near the Singal Junction on the Yeongdong Expressway.
Kwon RiSe was rushed to the hospital immediately after the accident and underwent surgery for more than 10 hours but ultimately never regained consciousness and passed away. Fellow member EunB, who was also in the vehicle, died on the day of the accident.

Kwon RiSe, a Korean-Japanese, first gained recognition by appearing on MBC’s competition program Birth of a Great Star, which ended in 2011. She later debuted in 2013 as a member of Ladies’ Code, gaining love for hit songs like “Pretty Pretty,” “Bad Girl,” and “Kiss Kiss.”
